LaserBTB 650nm VS 635nm.

I just received my HL-650nm laser from Offroad's group-buy thanks. Does anyone own both the 650nm and 635nm lasers offered by LaserBTB, and if so, is there a noticeable color difference between the two?

The difference in color is obvious if you put it side by side.

Other than the HL532, I got all of mine from Offroad's GB. I like the how the HL hosts are designed, very clean and no-nonsense, and the units seem really solid. If their 635nm is for real (not just a 650nm sold as "635", as I've heard of some vendors doing), I'll definitely think about getting it if it's available in the next GB. Maybe their 473nm too...

To think, I started out with a 532nm laser pen I bought off Amazon... this forum has ruined me

Yeah, the 635 will be much more visible and more of a cherry red rather than blood red. Also, guarantee you'll like the 473nm

Own HL versions of both... like neither. The 635nm they have, is genuine, and color difference is there, but to me personally, it's not an extreme difference.

Is the 635nm HL single mode or multi-mode?

The 635nm HL is multimode. I have never seen a single mode 300mW 635nm red laser. At least not a affordable one.

You can see it at the dot. Tight round dot is single mode and bar shaped for multimode.
Laser on the left is multimode. The other two are single mode.
