Then you must be a MAC user.....
I don't see an Ouch as you pointed out....

I was upfront with the customer with the fact that the
Software was only Windows compatible....
The customer knew that prior to purchase and was fine
with that....

With that post... I gave him an inexpensive solution
to be able to use the full Data Logging Feature of his
LaserBee if he so chooses..

Does all your software work on both Windows and MAC....
(remember VHS....BETA....)

Or have you made a choice....

Well I just checked the Serial Number on Arayans LaserBee I-X
order and this MAC thing for him is now moot...

He odered a LaserBee I-X in Jan without the Data Logging
Option...

Thanks for your help just the same Twhite...
Maybe some other MAC users with a LaserBee LPM that has the
Data Logging Option could use it...

Haha, well then. This makes this whole exercise quite moot. :p

I'll put the project on the back burner for now; source available by request.

I verified this and unfortunately it's true...I did not remember this detail.
Thanks anyway to Trevor for his time :)
I do not exclude, in the future, to buy a LaserBee with a higher wattage and with a data logging ;)

Im a mac user exclusively. in order to use these data logging LPMs i have. to fire up Parallels and XP which is a PITA. I would prefer even a data logger that saves out a csv and I can make my own graphs. But a slick mac app would be awesome.

I don't have a Mac development machine. If / when I do get around to building something fully featured, it'll be in Java.

I've got a lot on my plate right now; it'll be at least several months before I can get to it.

I have plenty of relevant info and code if anyone wants to step up.

Im not sure if I wanted to get into the middle of this squabble but overall, laserbee makes great products. They make things for the general public and as Mac computers arent really used heavily, it only makes sense that the software is made for windows only. Really, I havent once seen testing equipment made for Macs, my OBDII scanner can hook up to my laptop and it only makes software for windows. All my computer related diagnostic equipment works only in windows (then again this is kind of irrelevant since its diagnosing windows PCs.

The fact that they dont make MAC software doesnt make them a bad company or have bad policies. Its life, im not trying to confront anyone here or trying to argue. Im stating a fact that I have experience through many testing products I own.

Also, Jerry is an awesome guy, who answers questions promptly and is willing to help.
I dont see where all this negativity comes from? seriously all this because there isnt MAC software for the laserbee?? cmon, thats like me complaining to SNAP-ON why dont you make software for MACs for my 1500 dollar OBDII scanner.
