Ok i need to find a heatsink could someone find one for this

Intending to use D batteries 
What am i overlooking Help me with this build please. And do i really need a a Jumpdrive or whatever?

Thats a 15.75mm module so It's going to be hard finding one as most people use a 12mm module.  

Yes you need a "jumpdrive".  You will not be able to see that laser just letting you know.  You really should read some of the "How to make your first laser" posts.  You might learn something.

You can send your housing to jayrob and he will make you a custom heatsink for your needs. You have to discuss pricing with him though. I think that housing may impose problems because it has fins..... but ask him anyhow.

I took a guess that a jumpdrive is a flexdrive. They have the same last name :D
 
Could be, but I could easily think micro boost drive (same last name and when I think of "jump" I think of "Boost").
 
Yes i meant flexdrive and Arggh before i was bidding on a 9mm one and i want to get some laser parts Cheap so yes i want IR (plus it burns good) Do i really need housing Could i do anything else
 
You need a host of some sort. It could be a radio shack project box or a custom machined host.

Unless you want all of the parts hanging all over the place.
