Hello everyone, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Jason and I work for a company that specialises in Laser ablation in the UK. I have always loved lasers and I am in the fortunate position of working with some of the most cutting edge commercial lasers available.
I work with a Spectra Physics Spitfire Pro, which is a Ti-Sapphire femto second amplifier, seeded with a Spectra Physics Mai Tai Ti-Sapphire tunable laser from 650-1100 nm at 3W max power. The pump laser is a Spectra Physics Evolution 50 ND:YLF laser with a maxium output of 60W of 527nm  Yep that is 60W of green for you green freaks. It has a a pulsed output at 5khz of 30mj!!
We use femto second pulses to ablate metals without destroying the surrounding material.
I own a wicked lasers P125 and an advanced 35 greenie, the pulsar is a good one at 149mw but the advanced is a bit weak at 32mw. I have my own Coherent fieldmax 2 laser power meter, so the figures are good.
Thats my intro over with, hope to make friends with you guys, stay safe and please watch your eyes, you wont get another pair.
Best regards.
Jason
