laser show noob here

i love lasers and laser pointers but i know next to nothing about actual laser show projectors, and i was looking into buying one just to have in my room, i wanted somthing that can have cool tunnel and sweeping effects with some fog the only problem is, is that i have no idea about what other equipment i would need to have a decent projector sync up with some music any info would be greatly apriciated
