Laser scrub, goggles & laser query

I'm Al, new here.

Quick one.

I've recently bought the following laser:

200mW transformable green laser/adjustable [OLV6200] - $122.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

A green, with wavelength of 532+/-10 nm.

Since I don't want to fuck up my already bad eyesight I've got a pair of these:

Green laser safety goggles/370-560nm protective goggles.

405nm,473nm,532nm laser safety goggles [OLGLG532] - $19.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

I should be alright with general lasing no?

Though I was a bit concerend about IR, how much of a risk is that to worry about since I'm certain there's no IR filter on the laser itself. Should I get some IR filters to stick on too?

If so then does anyone know of any? I'm UK based.

If these goggles are shit, then I'd appreciate a recomendation, looking to get two pairs really. Price, well around ~$50 or so.

Those goggles should work fine for what you need them for. It is not an excuse to neglect safety when handling a high powered laser, however, and should you point the laser through the glasses into your eye, I can only offer you a vote for the Darwin awards. As for IR filters, MarioMaster and Spyrorocks, two very reputable members here, carry them in their Store "Radiant Electronics". You can find these at THIS link. I don't know what shipping is to UK, but this is atleast a place to start. Good luck!

I have those goggles, it lets through like 3mw which should be safe

but 300+ mw i suggest get certified goggles od4+
