Laser Radiation Warning Symbol

I made a thread about it a long time ago and threatened to get it done but it took a long time for me to muster up the courage. That's probably what you are remembering. The reason I got it large was because the lady said that if it were small all the little lines in the middle would eventually fade together and it would look retarded. She was tattooed from neck to toe so I trusted here judgment.

Oh yea, that's probably what I was remembering. There was also some talk about getting some GITD on it so you could charge it up with the blu-ray, right?

Anyway, I +repped you :D

Here we go again... :banghead:
adding reputation points for things that don't deserve rep points just like in the old forum.
i love the tat, and that is not what i am talking about.
the rep system is supposed to inform people if you are a reputable builder, buyer or seller. to most of us that have been here for a while know who to do transactions with and who not to.
all of the NooBs on the forum have no idea. and i believe this is where our rep system comes into play.
adding a rep point for a tat reflects none of those.
pretty soon no one will look at rep points because they are filled with useless BS about someone's avatar, or funny signature. POINTLESS.
if you want something like that contact cold and tell him to add a section labeled " Popularity Contest"

this is nothing to do with the tatoo or yobresal. this is to do with the misuse of rep points

I completely agree that the rep system becomes compromised with this kind of behavior but on the other side of the coin I built up a crap load of rep on the old forum and I have built/sold/traded countless lasers and never had a bad transaction yet my rep is at 0 on this new forum. I would not normally condone this kind of behavior but there has to be some way for us reputable people to get our reputation back without going through months and months of this process. I have been around the block since before the days of the nexus back when that was the ONLY 100mW laser you could get your hands on. I experienced the beginings of pot modding leadlights back when I was still a teenager. I saw optotonics start out as a new site and develop into a the best company around. Shoot I was one of his first customers. I may not post a lot of BS in the forums and throw my opinion out there every chance I get which is why my post count is only 600 but that is another issue besides rep. If we are going to start regulating rep points we may as well regulate post count based on quality of post. It is just a slippery slope. We have freedoms here in this forum which is why we love it. When ever there is a scammer out there and I have seen it done, we all pretty much stone the bastard with negative rep points and ruin any chance he has of preying on the uneducated. I think the noobs will be okay with us old farts here to protect them because I am sure like myself, we have all been scammed trying to buy lasers.

like i said in the last reply... this is not about you.
it was about a rep point for a tattoo.
everyone started over on the point system, you can get them restored though.
to get your rep points back from the old forum, just PM cold and he will restore them (it may take a while. he is really backed up right now.)
everything else i agree on.
:friend:

you do understand what i mean by pointless +rep points though???
this is a perfect example, regardless of who the the points are for

Understood and agreed. That is something that bugged me about the rep system on the old forum. Getting the rep should be based on successfull transactions. I just hate the idea of being at 0 given my history. I was unaware of any rep restoring. This would provide a much needed service.
