I have decided that it is about time to get one, and am wondering what you guys would reccomend, im working on a small budget, and am not against a used meter.
im also interested in the andover holography meter, where do i purchase one?

I watch ebay. I just purchased a brand new (old stock, sealed in the box), Coherent Lasermate with LD-1 sensor for $300. I see them come up on ebay every once in a while. It is a very cool meter and was well worth the price. The Laserbee is also an awesome meter for the price. Bill

Thanks Bill.... ;)

(Not saying anything against the Andover LPM... :))

The Andover LPM-1 is an optical meter that requires an ND filter for
powers higher than 100mW... Depending on the Wavelength of your laser..
you must pre-choose that wavelength calibration from a list before using it..
BTW.. It has no calibration for Blu-Ray Lasers... IIRC..

You can get a 1 Watt Thermopile Laser Power Meter here... and sometimes
on eBay at a slightly better price..

A Thermopile based LPM does not require adjustments for different Laser
Wavelengths and can easily test Blu-Ray LDs... 8-)

Does it test IR? I probably wont' get one, but I wanted to test the IR from my broken greenie... (all IR)

How do you know that he has one for sale.. :-?
Is this the latest one with the larger Blue LCD he requested... :-?
If so.. it is not the standard LaserBee I shown on our website... and
would not fit into our Deluxe LaserBee I enclosure Kit...
