laser pen host contact points help

yes but i want to be involved in the making of the laser, even if its just putting the module into the host.

If you are thinking it is simple to take a module out of a pen that you buy, you should do some more research first. It's not that easy!
Just buy one or do a bigger build, pens are more difficult than a bigger build.

In a perfect world the diode in the given situation would be case positive. Thus, the positive charge would go through the batteries, into the shell of the build (case/pen) through that to the module, and into the case activating the positive portion of the diode. And the negative would just go from battery to spring to driver to diode simple as cake. Pen builds make look cheap and easy but they're a bit more complicated than just the plug and play solder these 2 wires and you're good builds that we frequent. I'm slowly finding this out. You'll find that case-polarity builds can be a bit more tricky than regular case neutral builds. Simply because you have more troubleshooting to take care of. Rather than just checking a solder point or 2, you have to make sure all the parts in question are connecting well, there's no anodizing in the way, etc.

Side-note. I've never heard of a NON case neutral 405, so you might have to solder the positive pin with the case pin so that it travels that extra step from case to negative.

PHR-805T's are case negative.

I've yet to see a pen host that is case-negative compatible, you'll need a case positive diode for a pen host or be very skilled in host modifications and use a case neutral diode.

This was covered before, all the info you need is here on these forums, try to start absorbing some =).

hmm, looking at all the threads is impossible, and i have tried the search bar many times. i have changed my mind, not going to build it into a pen host yet, going to make it in a box, that way i can call it a labby iswell ;)
