It's like claiming your warranty of the crumple zone of your car because it broke when you tested it.
The EN 207 certifications requires that the eyewear keeps it's rated protection for a 10 second direct exposure.
I wish the ANSI certification were less opaque on what its rated protection really means such as that in EN207. The OD rating is supposed to encapsulate all the information in a simple guideline, but I'm not sure how it corresponds to the EN specification.
