yes, although DPSS lasers will be more profoundly affected by temperature vs plain diode lasers

Yes and no. Depends on many things, first off the type of laser. Heating is generally a bad thing, but in some cases it can cause your output to increase - to a point. Basically, there's no general rule about it - the only thing that's certain is that temperature does affect lasing.
