If you want a longer duty cycle a good trick is to (I do not do this myself however but I'm sure it works) put the laser in a refigerator or freezer and once it's nice and cold, then use it and the theory is that it will take longer to heat up--prolonging the duty cycle, however remember this will not work with green lasers due to the crystals needing to warm up

Pretty much the question that i asked but backwards. Instead of heating then rapid cooling, cooling first then slowly heating up. :D
