Laser allignment with housing? O-Like Question.

I just noticed that both of my O-Like lasers, the <4oo green and 1W blue have an alignment problem with the host. The blue is off by less than 0.5° the green is off by almost 1°. Is this typical or is it just sloppy machining of the housing.

It's not a problem, but it just annoys me.

What do you expect from employees that work for rice and meth.

It is very common.
It is more typical with green lasers since there are many more optical elements to align.

Believe me, if you have ever tried to align the optics in a green laser by hand, it is not a trivial task.
It can be corrected with some patience and a steady hand.

Yep .. I advice not trying to do it by yourself. It's pretty hard to make it better, and pretty easy to at least get some dirt on the elements. Also it's rather easy to kill the laser all together.

I have a Red 200mW from them, and when you take off the head you can see the LOC module is loose in the housing. The laser still only works from time to time.

DrSid and others are completely correct. Build your own!
