If there are no secrets then could you explain to me why i see the all seeing eye everywhere?

It was adopted by the Masons as a graphical representation of the existence of a divine being or God, a pre-requisite of Masonic membership is the acceptance of a divine being.

It originated in antiquity as a symbol of "The Eye Of Horus" as the all powerful in Egypt that see's everything.

It's use on the Great Seal came about 14 years before it's use by masonic lodges and not afterwards as some believe.

The same representation is used on US banknotes to again define the existence of a divine being, much the same way as a US banknote contains the legend "In God We Trust".

The full symbol has an extra 6 lines emanating from the three sides of the Pyramid to represent the Holy Trinity.

It's use in films and TV shows is to do exactly what it IS doing, it generates interest and sales based on wild theories that everything is controlled by the Lodges and / or Masons in general. A lot of the miss-information about the Lodges is based in speculation that rarely if ever qualifies as the most basic of theory (Theory must be testable to qualify, wild non testable statements cannot be proved or dis-proved if they are not testable).

When I joined it was made clear that an organisation with secrets is not a secret organisation

This weeks biggest Masonic secret? next week at the lodge we are having Roast Lamb and not Beef for evening dinner but don't tell anybody as it's meant to be a surprise for the brothers.

If it's use in the great seal was 14 years sooner then the masons used it... then explain to me why most of the founding fathers were masons that used this symbol in alot of things? including the great seal.

Just to be clear i am not saying masons control everything.. it just seems very odd to me that this symbol pops up everywhere when masonry has nothing to do with it?

Also.. Masonry does influence the world on a large scale.. both tony blair and george bush are known masons of the highest rank and that's just a very small example

Of those that designed the Great Seal, only one was a freemason - Benjamin Franklin. His design ideas were rejected.

I think you should focus your conspiracy-theorizing on a much more widespread symbol - the fleur-de-lis. It's used by a lot of organizations and municipalities around the world - that MUST mean that someone who likes that symbol is controlling all those organizations! :tinfoil:

I just noticed.... In your avatar it appears you got more sun under your shades than on the rest of your face.

The unknown powers must be trying to shut you up by shining harmful radiation at you, the more pale skin being affected by the radiation, and under the shades you were slightly protected, showing your true skin color. I mean really how else can that have happened.

Much the same reason as the Christian Crucifix abounds in society, numerous people wear them as jewellery, they appear on buildings and in film / tv and in society in general.

6 former US presidents are Moose brothers yet the same is not applied to that membership, a huge number of people are Masons, just as a huge number of people are Christians , Agnostics, Muslims, Boy Scouts etc etc...being a member of an organisation doesn't confide that it has any link with the individuals profession or status.

You know, that theory came from William Guy Carr in this 1958 book "Pawns in the Game" which does not predate the two World Wars. He then tacked on this supposed letter from Pike, which has not been confirmed either. From what I gather, it seems that the letter was traced through a known hoaxer Leo Taxil.

So in essence he made most of these "prophesies" up himself -- after the events took place -- and then used some poorly attributed letter as a followup.
