Also I want to add for sale some custom made low pressure mercury lamps, that had been made by my fellow glassblower. They are also listed on e-bay here:

Price is
15$ for each, 9 lamps available. You will save a lot on shipping if you buy at least 2-3 of them.
For sale is the low pressure low intensity mercury lamp that has the following specifications:
Dimensions 200mm length, 15mm dia,
Operating voltage 1200-1500V DC
Operating current 1-2 mA DC.
Envelope material: Soda lime glass.
Expected lifetime -- 1000 hours or more.
The output spectrum is VISIBLE ONLY. No UV light, it is blocked by the envelope.
The lamp can be used as a source of calibration spectrum with narrow line width for calibrating spectrometers, testing and control of optical surfaces quality or any other purpose where a source of visible mercury spectrum is needed. The best way to power it is to use a line voltage multiplier with a ballasting resistor. Note, that the starting voltage is at least 1.5-2 times higher than operating voltage.
