So you were burning without goggles... Well, at least you weren't pointing it at planes.

Like I said sunglasses don't do shit they will actually make your eyes dialated... making damage even worse so no its not better than nothing
They do... but it's sort of like putting on a bulletproof vest to stop a cannon ball:gun::tinfoil:

Sunglasses will do very little except to dilate your pupils. The good news is if you were over a foot away from the spot that was actually burning... and you weren't burning anything reflective, it's not likely you were getting over even 1mW of into your eyes.
very informative test your laser against Sunglasses !
I know it's unrealistic and inadequate protection in the event of accidental reflection but it reduces the brightness and the blue filter, the ones I have at least, but anyway I do not use more up to receive the glasses, hoping that they are of good quality
Hello,
I wonder if the shape of the spot is normal when the beam is very divergent, and also there are like bubbles on the image (see photo, but it is not very visible), normal or not?
Ok, thank's, if anyone has an idea about the issue? :thanks:Possibly, I'm not really the person to ask, as I have never seen anything like that before.. Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge with beam divergence might be able to give your more info.
