I heard it said that Jetlaser likes to send over specked unit. It's true! Just tested my new 532 from Jetlasers and have to say, WoW. Am using a new sensor I got from Astralist, free of charge ( a shout out to him and a big :thanks: ) so as the pictures will show we are 265.027 over, not a small amount! I've got a Krypton from WL listed as 1500mw's and she LPM's at just over 225 mw's so JL laser is over more than WL's highest price unit is in real life. (Sad). But this isn't about how bad WL's are, it's about how good JL's are. Really like the way they have their focusing built right into the unit which is real fancy and functional. Threads are butter smooth. Comes with a rubber lens cap that BowtieGuy says in his review not to forget to remove before you fire the unit because it will burn the rubber lens cap right quick. Don't ask me how I know this, it's just best to follow his advice :D Like the built in port where you can run it off of AC, which is cool. Got the 10x BE with the unit. Still trying to master the alignment process but with practice I'm sure it will get easier. Sure has a good solid feel to it. This is my first JL so I'm sure their other units are the same. Might have to pick up their PL-E Pro 465nm so this mini doesn't get to lonesome :) But I think it's time for pictures. Will try to add some night time beams shots when I can. The divergence on this unit is top notch the beam seems not to diverge at all as far as you can see it. One gorgeous beam

Hope you enjoy the pics! :)

Thanks for the review! That's a lot of 532nm power in a fairly small host, awesome! :D

Let us know how long this one battery laser operates before the battery needs to be recharged please.
Got another question or two, it concerns the optics portion of the laser. This laser has a 2mrd rating. It's good but could be less. Is it possible to remove the collimating lens and replace it? It there room to to so?
Photos would be nice to see.

Thanks, I stunned at how over specked it is. Best wishes with the 473 calling your name, sometimes they can shout real loud. :)

I just got the unit so give me a bit to see how long the battery lasts per charge. I tried to twist the head off gently but she didn't turn and I don't want to force it, so I can't answer your question about changing the output lens. I would suggest emailing JL and asking them I sure they can give you that info though.

Pretty pretty :D

Thanks Hap! My LPM reading's not upside down, only sideways. ( I'm working on it, baby steps ) :D

Haa, I know what you mean. "Waiting is the hardest part" sounds like a song from Tom Petty.:can:

Congratulations. It is a nice looking host and I hope it has a decent duty cycle considering how large the pump diode must be. I think you might find that the time between charges might be quite short. Enjoy it now. You've earned it. :D

I have to check out your collection thread. Grats on the new greenie. I have the 400mw on order with the new BE. Can't wait to get it. Maybe a dozen or so beamshots would get me though these few weeks of anticipation.

Hey Bob, it looks like you got yourself a good one, very overspec, and pretty badass looking with that B.E. attached!

Thanks Paul, Yea ate some Mac@Cheese to make this happen. But all is good. I'm using Efest 3000mAh batteries that I tested and they came back pretty good 2800-2900mAh's each and all tested 60-70ish on the resistance so I hoping they will hold up and do the job? Shall enjoy it Thanks a bunch :)

Haa , I'll see what beams shots I can get to help you through your wait, know that every little bit helps. Don't know if I can get a dozen, but I see how the neighborhood is tonight
Havn't done a collection thread yet, been thinking about it, planning it. Its kind of a major post. I'd have to write a brief description of each and I'm a two finger typist so I'm slower than slow. (chubby fingers):p

Thanks BtG, pretty happy with it, another beauty for my collection. :)

Edit, @ Steve;
"It can be operated using their 5v plug in adapter."
Steve, thanks for the input, would you know the polarity of the plug? Center positive or negative?

After reading your first post, which I think I read wrongly then checking the site, I see no specific mention this unit can be run using their ac adapter. Do you see a plug on this unit?

Yes there is, as per JL it takes 4.2 volts input. Still searching for the polarity of the plug. Waiting for a response from JL.

Good. I was looking at this model at various outputs vs pricing 500mw to be precise and thinking back how much my first 5mw green pointer cost, I smiled. Prices have dropped a lot.
