Just to clarify something and so as to avoid confusion...

My 650-G-1 glass lens that I announced back in October of 2009, is a completely different optical design than my 405-G-1. It is not just the AR coating.

I deleted the link. I'm pretty sure the lens I got is the same one as you are using in this thread. It looked very similar to the 405-G-1 lens but coated for 600-1000nm. I just had that link posted in my thread because I could not find the 650-G-1 Data sheet.

Please no...

It is not the same optic with a different coating, as the 405-G-1 as you mention in your thread.

And, it is a name that I have announced back in October of 2009.

My 650-G-1 glass lens is not just a different AR coating. It is a different lens design. It is even a different diameter lens.

Please, to avoid confusion, do not use the name '650-G-1' unless you get the lens from me...

You cannot assume that. It is not the same optic with a different coating, as the 405-G-1 as you mention in your thread.

I can certainly attest to the fact that the focal lengths of the 405-G-1 and the 605-G-1 are VERY different!

Well the lens I used was the same diameter as the 405-G-1 lens so it could not have been a "650-G-1" lens.

I just came up with that term on my own to describe the lens I was using, it just so happens jayrob all ready coined to term to his new lenses all well.
I have all ready renamed the thread in question. Not trying to hijack this review thread or anything, it was just confusion.

Hey man, that's really cool of you to edit the name you used...

I realize that you didn't see where I announced my 650-G-1 lens for red back in October, and you used the name because it is a logical name to use.

So thank you very much for not using the same name. It will sure help avoid any confusion...
