I have several HeNes from Sunnking- all had similar descriptions- all worked -none were 'broken'- like qumefox says that description is that way for a reason- nearly any excuse can now be used by buyers to screw sellers. They get a refund/chargeback by PP and often get to keep the 'broken' item. You have no idea how this feels until it happens to you.

As far as the sniping services go - say whatever you will, but, if you have NEVER or hardly ever used one you really do not know of what you speakith.

Bottom line is this- I win many auctions with one and do not have to sit on the auction or EVER pay more than I want or need to. To pay 10 cents extra for winning a 10.00 item is well worth it.

There is a reason that a live auction does not go on for days- besides the obvious. The way ebay ups your bid is not the same way that a snipe service does it. If you look at the bidding history of an item the winner is often someone who did not bid until the final seconds. You thought you were going to win but... no you got sniped.!!!!

How did they know to bid just the minimum over you?? they didnt ---the snipe did. You cant manually bid fast enough to keep raising your bid to win.

ps
as far as prices going up... the first link that T_J posted is a PS for ~20$ I bought 4 of those last night for ~10$-- FROM THE SAME SELLER. They had more than 10 FS and now want double for thier last 4. Go figure----On T-J's second lnk -- that is WAY to high- forgetaboutit.I would not pay that even if it were a green HeNe. well maybe not--love those green HeNes. Must be seen to be appreciated.(Mine are BTW NOT FS)

I still say it's pointless. If $10 is the most *i'm* willing to pay for something, that's what i'll bid up front. It doesn't matter if I lose it for $10.10.. That's more than I was willing to pay. Therefor *I* never spend more than I have to on items and I don't get bent out of shape over losing for pennies. I just bid on the next identical item that's ending. It's really no different than your sniping program. You give your sniping software a maximum not to exceed, which is the exact same thing the ebay proxy bid is. If you give your snipe a max of $20, and someone has an ebay proxy bid for more than that.. you lose. It's no different.

If i'm wrong and sniping software doesn't have a maximum not to exceed that you give it.. then i'll have to make sure snipers start way overpaying for some stuff then. :D Because if it does have a max you give it.. it doesn't matter. The person with the highest max will win.
