Havent seen a specific post about it, but as far as my common sense goes i'd say no. +repping is to represent a positive contribution to a conversation, or a good service etc. repping back for no reason is an abuse of this.

You can only rep a person + or - on any specific post by that
person... and it is usually accompanied by a Comment as to why
the rep was given or taken...

well that's what I was thinking too . . . contribution, being helpful . . .

or pointing out "inaccuracies" . . .

I used to, but now I save my +reps for when they really deserve it as the forum won't allow you to +rep them too often.

If you give out reps often enough you can re-rep a member in
less than a week...

i try to rep ppl who rep me. pos or neg. i don't do it instantly but i will find something worth in a post and make a comment about it in the rep comment line.

I personally really dislike it when people -rep me for justifiably -repping them. I wouldn't revenge rep unless the -rep to me was totally undeserved...

Please, I hate when people counter your rep for no good reason. Happens to me all the time.

same here.
But i take them in stride, with the good and bad.
If you neg rep me will i neg rep you back?
First you should ask do i care that much...
And jerry all i have to say is, well crap i dont know what to say about your av pic...
More power to ya?
