Yes it is possible.Yes you do need a driver.At $40 I think it's a ripoff. ::)

That's the same thing senkat sells for $28 with free shipping. That's just a 16x burner diode installed in an Aixiz module.

all i see is the 16x dvd diode mounted in a Aixiz Housing for 26$ not one for 28?

You could get a safe 150mW out of it with a proper driver. :P

Depends how hard you want to push it, and how much heatsinking/cooling you give it. Some run it 160 or 200 mW, or even more with TEC. I have one running at about 120 mW with basically zero heatsinking or cooling at all, and it has never gotten warm enough to hurt it.

And how much do the drivers run up ? i want cheapest possible. im probably just going to buy it already made from jake. i dont want to waste money here

so is to maek the driver? and im only 14, so i dont have time and the knowledge to do this.
