IR laser help.

So a friend of mine at work is big into air soft and he wants me to build him an IR laser to fit on his gun sight. Me said that he has night vision and he would be albe to see the been throught that. My question is what power laser should I build that is safe for the other people that the laser will be pointed at and give him and good looking beam throught the night vision. Also if you know of a good module I could just buy that would be great. Thanks for your help.

Do they project a beam like a laser??? :thinking:

First.... using a Laser to illuminate a scene will require
that you open the beam to cover the area you are looking
at. There will be no pencil beam.

You can use a reflector to direct/focus the IR LED array to
cover that same area.
