Interesting observation

My dogs don't look for the source unless they happen to see the little bit of light that shows at the tip of my laser. Then they make the connection and from then on if they see that object, they look in the direction it is pointing and back at me, waiting for me to turn it on and start the game.

By the way....I just lost the game.

I guess I have been lucky. I see it as harmless fun, similar to the "dollar bill attached to a string" prank, or the super-glued coin on the sidewalk joke. Or fake dog doo, fake barf, prank sound effects, or anything else to get passersby's attention for candid-camera type moments.

My cat figured out that there is a connection between the laser and the red dot she loves to chase really quickly. She comes to me begging for me to let her have some fun and the second she sees me grab the pointer she gets happy.
