Interested in 589nm and 473nm laser pointers

Will jetlasers and Dragonlasers ship to the U.S. with that kind of power still? Also do you wear goggles when looking at those, they seem quite powerful. Also I'm assuming u meant 473nm instead of an infrared laser? I don't think I would mind something in the 20-30mw range, but I don't want above that.

Yes JL will ship any power to the US, whether it is 5mW or 500mW. At 20mW-30mW it is still quite a lower power meaning you don't really need goggles but they are recommended if you plan on using it near reflective surfaces or try your luck at burning. If you plan on using it with folks who've never used a laser before, please make sure they have proper goggles as well :)

They will most likely be overspec though so if you are looking to stay in the 30mw range it will be tough.

Corrected that. 473nm. And yes, I wear goggles.

Would a 5mw 589nm Spartan be in the 30mw or under range? I'm not planning on using it near reflective surfaces lol.

Most likely under. But who knows. You could get a crazy overspec one

Alright getting very close to pulling the trigger on the Dragonlaser Spartan 5mw, thanks for the advice, however, which one would be stronger, the 5mw aurora, or the 5mw Spartan? The Aurora would be nicer because its so much smaller but I bet its way weaker right?

Yellow's are much less efficient then blue DPSS 473 lasers. While your Spartan may be more powerful at times, it won't be as stable as the Aurora.

The Aurora and Spartan models I am speaking of are both the 589nm variants. Dragonlasers appears to be out of stock on all 473nm (portable) lasers.

Whoops, thought you meant the 473 Aurora :D

The Spartan will be a better choice. It's larger host means it will be able to run longer without over-heating, be more stable then the Aurora & have a higher change of a higher output power then the smaller Aurora model.

Alright thanks, that's what I thought, but I just wanted to check, lol a 5mw laser in a Spartan host is pretty large, but then I can say I have a Spartan Laser Master Chief.

Re: 473nm----have a look at JetLasers PLE-Pro 473nm --is offered in 30mW @$299 and 50mW @$329 (same price as Spartan 10mW).

PL-E Pro is a much better laser with many more features --longer duty cycle, nice internal focus mechanism that works by rotating a collar with index markers like a camera lens, can run on AC adapter, 18560 or 26650 battery, host comes in black or silver and so on see: PL-E Pro DPSS 473nm Blue Laser Unlike Dragon Lasers who just resell lasers made by CNI (for complete CNI line see: laser pointer,532 nm green,473 nm blue, yellow, infrared laser pointers.), Jetlasers actually makes their own products--helps if there is ever a problem. JetLasers are high quality products and they have best customer service in the business.

Would they ship a 30mw to the U.S.?

Yea they will. I have one that I ordered directly from them and they guarantee delivery or they will refund you or send another laser (their choice)
