Interested in 589nm and 473nm laser pointers

He's charging about the same price as DL since he offers a beam expander with it which is 60$ at DL. The reason for being able to charge the same price is due to the guarantee of it being up to spec, which DL sadly enough can't guarantee. Their lasers are usually up to/overspec, but it's still somewhat of a gamble.

Aside of all this, he is located in the USA. That means no risk of customs seizing the laser.

Would a 5mw Spartan ship to the U.S.?

Yep, anything 5mW and lower is allowed by law to be used as a public "laser pointer" in the US. DragonLasers's unit are almost always overspec, so if you do decide to purchase it, have it LPM'ed :)

Dragon lasers guarantees delivery of all their products. Also the Spartan is a very nice host. It looks similar to a flashlight but has a very solid weight and quality.

I assume that means like a power meter to measure its actual output? What would it normally be? Like 10 or more like 30?

Haha what does that mean? That they'll sneak it through customs? I wish there was some like licenses or something so people could continue to legally get and responsibly use high power lasers.

I can't tell you with an actuate output, every laser performs differently. What I can go off is previous similar 589 lasers in that host bought by previous members ended up outputting 6mW-15mW(depending on temperature) :)

They just label them as telescope parts or optics or something else other than obviously an over 5mw laser. Would be nice if there was a way to obtain them legally for the responsible people, but unfortunately there isn't and there are plenty of people out there who are not helping the situation continuously with their disregard to laws, common sense, and safety.

Dude that's an awesome photo are those yours?

Yea i need me a 473. Those two beams through some defraction grating would be badass

Hey 10fenny - you mean like this? These were taken over a year ago but are some examples of a 589 and 473 in action with and without diffraction gratings.

UGH. I need a ton of money real quick. I need these colors! So. Beautiful. Can't describe. + rep for you brucemir. Epic pics :)

:O Whoa dude I'm jealous those are amazing!

I'm with Gozert. I have a Spartan 589 (54mw) and a Jetlasers 473(upper 70s mw) not cheap, but excellent quality.( put them in your will, probably work after your gone) Good customer service too.

Will jetlasers and Dragonlasers ship to the U.S. with that kind of power still? Also do you wear goggles when looking at those, they seem quite powerful. Also I'm assuming u meant 473nm instead of an infrared laser? I don't think I would mind something in the 20-30mw range, but I don't want above that.
