Installing diode in aixiz

Do I need a vice to install a diode in an aixiz?

A vice is my prefered method. But sometimes i use a "C" clamp. but remember to use the long end of the aixiz with small hole facing the LD to be the pushing part.

You will never get the Laser Diode to seat properly using the back of the Aixiz module to insert
the LD... The LD will only be Flush with the housing...
The LD needs to be recessed below flush... :
