Hi, Im new I just joined today.
I need some help looking for a laser.
I want to buy a laser that should be able to burn things with ease, but it has to be small.

What specifications does a laser have to have that will make it able to burn something?

i was thinking about getting a 200mw Green laser, Would this burn anything?

a 200mW green will definately burn....problem with green is that green modules are focused to infinity for long distance pointing, where as a blu-ray or red and usually adjustable s you can focus all the light onto one tiny spot up close, making it's burning ability alot better...

So any kind of laser that is 200MW or more will burn?
All that matters is the MW's Right?

Welll The mw being how powerful the laser is wont do as much burning without being focused Like Mohrenberg said. I would also recomend even a 150mw blu ray or a 200mw red laser prefferable the Dilda. Try these websites www.0-like.com--Ê×Ò³ or Rayfoss--home
Overall id recomend o-like

(and welcome to the forums)

Yes Also customer service there is amazing! Where are you located so shipping wont be much of a problem? And there are very nice variations of that laser like the new style one and the waterprof version!
Glad to help!

I was thinking about making a laser, What is the use of the laser driver?
Would I be able to just attach the battery to the laser Diode and would it work properly if I had that right voltage?

keep in mind the axiz laser housing has a driver and the battrys would need to be bettr regulated in my opinion. but on o-like you can pick up a laser module allready built and find a nice host and some battrys at the right power lvl and ur good to go!

Yes, but that laser in the video doesn't have a driver does it?

If you are referring to the Kipkay video, then you have just revealed yourself as someone who believes they are too good to read the FAQ's. Every question you have asked has already been answered.
