I need help!!!!

I really want to start getting into the world of lasers I already have a green laser that claims to be 100mW however I know that it is nowhere near that and now I am bored of it and want to upgrade to a powerful burning laser but I need some help first of all I'm not sure whether I should buy one or which one I should buy or whether I should build one myself if someone could please guide me on what I should do also my budget is about $80 my only problem with building myself is that I don't know how difficult it is therefore I don't know if I could build it myself.
