Sorry if I missed this part... but did you test your driver with a test load to verify it was 1 amp?

Unless the pot was turned and if it's the order I remember, the driver was set to 1.00A.

I didn't test it, I don't know how. I probably should learn. I have a cheap meter from Fluke. And Garoq, it probably was the order you remember. I'm the guy who bought the three safety stickers after the fact. I think as DTR said, I overpowered it. Anyways, I'm satisfied cause the new one works great.

Sean, if you're going to be in this hobby for awhile, it is a great idea to acquire a test load, a digital multimeter (your Fluke meter is no doubt sufficient) and an adjustable DC power supply.
