I found a best alternative to LM317 Adjustable Regulator.

This regulator can manage much more power than the LM317 and does not heat at all :crackup:

The only bad thing..hummmm.. it's a bit difficult to place it in a Aurora host or other similar :undecided:

That's an SCR (Silicone Controlled Rectifier) and a Rectifier Diode....
Won't current regulate any thing.... Did you get that from KipKay as
the world's first Purple Laser Diode Driver....:whistle::crackup:

Is a old SEMIKRON SKT55 LINE THYRISTOR, i think is capable manage 700volt and 70A, if I remember correctly.

And SKR 70/08 Stud Diode 70 A, Reverse voltages up to 1600 V, I think.

You think will be enough? I have several to make driver diodes ahahaha :)
