HP DVD Burner Dual Layer Diode?

I got my hands on a few of these for really cheap....

Very cheap so I wasn't concerned if they had anything good in them.  I'm stuck at work for a while and im just curious...anyone know what I can expect when I crack these open? Useful Diode?
