How to control laser via PC?

Can i control laser from PC and how to build a laser to cut steel 2 "- 3",
so I no longer use the welding pieces to make shapes. Thanks!

Controlling a laser via PC is the easy part, but acquiring a laser to cut through steel that thick will present much more of a challenge at the hobby level.

This forum is here for laser sensors and trimmings?
I can find a sub-forum on the laser cutter? may not have to cut 2 "- 3"
preceded by 1mm - 2mm

To cut steel will require a large machine with a very powerful CO2 laser, there are some you can buy but the last ones I saw cost many thousands of dollars.
