How safe is my laser?

If you do get a module, buy from techhood on Ebay. His modules are the best. I got a 120mw 532 for $30. It meters rock solid at 123mw and holds better than some of my more expensive 532. That's the only place I'll buy modules from. If you find cheaper ones, they are cheaper for a reason.

I've seen 301&303 rebuilds before. Just have to find a way to grip the module well enough to slide it out.

Good luck

Awesome. Thanks for that.

Can't see a way to grip it. It is flush with the end of the host. Maybe I will just try beating it out or heating it first. Or both. I've got nothing to lose.

Hey if it works, it works :p

Just don't fall for any cheap modules. Oh and check what length you need and make sure it's comparable. They are all 12mm diameter, but they come in lengths of 35-60mm.

Thanks again for the help.

Where do I measure the length of the module? Sorry if that sounds dumb. The one that came out is 35mm from tip of the collimating lens to the end of the circuit board, but 45mm long if I include the spring..

Its funny how quickly I have gone from "am I going to blind myself with this unnecessarily bright laser?" to "more watts please I want to burn stuff!"
