Hi laser experts
i want to know how much should a 50mw 445nm blue laserpointer take?
is it hard to made or to buy?
i found most website, but there is no result
hope to get your advise,
any kind advise will be fine.
thanks a lot.:evil::evil:

How much should a 50mw 445nm blue complete pointer be?

100$-150$ Depending on the driver and host used.

Take how much what? How many batteries? How many amps? How many volts? What are you asking?

It's easy to buy, look for Osram single mode diode builds, or buy one of these:
ONLY <5mW 445nm 450nm Blue Blu-Ray Laser Lazer Pointer Pen OSRAM LD in | eBay
They say 5mW for it to be legal to import, but I believe they go up to 50mW.

It's also fairly easy to make depending on the tools you have, just use an Osram single mode diode. The rest of the information on how to make a laser is out there, just search for it.

It says that the LD is running at 280mA if it really is OSRAM 450 single mod, it would be upwards of 150mW-200mW i believe..

Building a blue laser from the Osram diode isn't much different than from the M140 diode.
If you only want 50mW then Osram would be a better choice because of the good divergence and better efficiency. You need to set the driver at 90mA with the acrylic lens to get 50mW blue ( the driver needs 250mA for the M140 diode ).

thats very professional! thanks a lot babe

445nm has it's own subforum where are the moderators to move the thread?

Doesn't really matter... After all this section is for blue as well.

I think this whole separation by wavelength thing is silly anyway, IMO it should be divided into Diode lasers and DPSS lasers.

I wonder what diode they are using for this laser. The bare diode cost more than the whole laser.

The price and looks are of the old DX 405nm dilda. I don't think this will be 445nm but if it is I'll get one :)
