How I almost lost my vision...

i got reflected with a 0.5mw red laser :| sigh australia has crap lasers for sale. :| Woot getting 50mw soon :)

Another thing to note is that when popping balloons with decently high-powered lasers, be sure to notice where the reflection is going -- those shiny rubbery surfaces sure can reflect! Also make sure that if/when the balloon does pop, the beam trajectory doesn't happen to land on a different dangerous/reflective surface behind it.

Stay safe :yh:

I caught 100mw's of green in my right eye. The bottom, left corner was fuzzy when I woke up for about a 2 weeks. Permanent damage was avoided though. Don't let anyone touch your lasers.

If you caught 100mW you can be almost certain you've got permanent damage.

Have you seen a doctor?

Sorry to say, but we dont need friends. Just stay by yourself, look at all your storys. some of you have Crack head freinds, others have freinds that SHINE IT RIGHT IN YOUR EYE!!! This is a reason why i never show anyone my laser. And i dont have freinds either so its all good

Friends don't let friends "play" with lasers especially those >5mw.
Dumb asses who like to purposely shine lasers at people don't get lasers of any kind except the shocking ones that only look like laser pointers.

If I'm going to show off my laser I take a few <5mw red lasers with me
so I can let newbes have their fun but the more dangerous laser is kept safe
from jerks and the less intelligent beings. (this is exactly why the US requires a turn key lock on lasers above a certain power rating)
