Title says it all. I have an o-like laser module and I need to bypass the push button for a custom maglite build I'm doing with Jayrob. How do I do it?

Thanks, Baka

Find where the Push Button is soldered to the PCB and either...
1) remove the Push button and replace it with a jumper....
OR
2) leave the Push Button and jumper the 2 Push Button contact pins
where they are soldered to the PCB....

Short and sweet! done–and it worked perfectly! Thanks Jerry!

Out of interest I always take the buttons off so I can use them on other projects.

No Problem Bakawun... and like Rog said... the PB can be used on other
projects if removed...;)

IIRC, if you connect your input voltage to the pads I pointed out in the pic below instead of the spring(-)/case(+), it automatically bypasses the switch. I can't remember the polarity off the top of my head, but it should be marked or easily determined by checking the traces nearby.

EDIT.. oops. Missed the part where you said you were using a maglite. Your best bet in that case is to bypass the switch with a jumper like has already been said.

What everyone else said, personally I just solder a wire to jump the button, if you don't feel like soldering the button back on should you decide to switch hosts.

Like this (sorry for horrible macro shot):
