Host is done and ready to roll

so I picked up a new strobe light for my AR and have the old cree one sitting around, it has 3 modes, high, low, and stobe . I was wondering if anyone has ever seen this host before and if it would be possible to build a high power 638-660nm.. let me no what yall think. cheers boys

ya that should work! you would just have to have someone make you a heatsink for it

What about a driver? I don't think the current driver in the flashlight would work. Might be to strong? Have you ever seen that type of driver? I can't find any specs on it. Over searched like crazy trying to figure it out...

Ha sorry just saw this. I never get notifications anymore. The driver for the flashlight wont work. you can either do a circular driver that would fit into the heatsink or do a contact board with a square style driver. I usually get my drivers from survival laser

I do to, only problem is that the head of this host is huge and the drivers and contact boards are very small. I'm gonna have to do some serious custom work for this to work! Might just have to use a microboost with battery spring and extend it an inch or two.
EDIT: I am sending it out to Flaminpyro so he can modiy it and make a heatsink for it..
