Has anyone seen a host that looks like the laser in Honey I Shrunk the Kids?

Geez. Not much of a host, now is it?

Largest Argon Ion and CO2 gas laser installations are somewhere around there, though of course without all the fancy "just put it there because it looks cool" decorations on the outside.

Yup that's it. I was wondering if there was a host someone knew of that looked like it. Or if someone has found a toy version of it that they mutilated.

I'd love to miniaturize this. Put a <5mw green on it, put a few servos on it to control the direction, also a sound font for charging. I think it would make a great desk piece.

Check out some of the HeNi Laser tube builds in the gas threads. Some make the bare tubes as mood lamps with the beam shooting up to the ceiling. You wanting a steam punk look?

The HeNe tube idea sounds great, Not going for steam punk. I just think the actual laser from the movie looks cool.
