Hi All

After beeing away from the forum and moving to a new house.
I finaly had some time to work on my tec cooled red laser.

The diode is a open can type with a vey long laser cavity and was taken from a 16x dual layer dell oem drive (tsst)
The housing i am using is from a old 100 mw greenie
the old diode mount was scrapped and a new one designed to hold and cool a standard aixiz casing
The diode driver had to be modified to run the red diode and is currently driving it at 410 mA
Giving a output of 375 mw @655nm +/-
the diode is kept @ 15 degrees

with the standard plastic aixiz lens it did 332 mw but melted the plastic housing
with the new aixiz glass lens it puts out a whopping 375 mw  not bad for a single diode  :)

output power was measured using a coherent lasercheck set @ 655nm
and a thermal laser power meter as backup
