Holograms for barter (updated pics)

Re: Holograms for barter

Hello. I have been in the market for something like this

I seen some much bigger amd better and trippier ones at festivals, cant seem to find better pics online. The ones I seen are like 16 or more layers 24x36 and with price tags of like $200+
Your holograms seem to be more like 3d foil like images, I dont know the difference between them.
That said I have a 445nm laser fixed at 1w, I could modify it to have different modes I would be willing to trade, also have a few 532nm lasers in the 150mw range.

Re: Holograms for barter

To whatsupadrian,

Yes, I think you have discovered what you are looking for is not a true hologram (wavefront recording and reconstruction). In the first example, I believe the artist is using iridescent foils, and the latter is indeed lenticular displays.

In an interesting bit of timing, I have been recently contacted by an artist in California who's art is very similar in design to your postings. We are in the process of making a series (3) of high-end animated full color digital holograms of his art. I will not be able to trade with these works, but the holograms will be available for sale. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for your inquiry.

Re: Holograms for barter

Is it Roger Adams? His work has been getting a lot of response lately, I want some of the bigger pieces for my house but they are expensive, and in searching he appears to be one of few people who is making this kind of art. I am definitely interested in those holograms if your making them big, shoot me a PM and ill take a look.

In doing a little research, looks like I can take digital images, and with a little bit of photoshopping I can print for any specific lenticular lens and put it together. Im sure its harder than it seems to get it right but my questions is. Why isnt there more of this?

This may be a dumb question but I saw a 'hologram' made by rabbitholes from the movie avatar. It looks like this is a true hologram, but its completely digital. Is this a fancy lenticular or some high tech hologram?

Re: Holograms for barter

Received my holograms today - these are gorgeous :)

It's hard to understand the "wow factor" until you have them in front of you in person.

Very cool :)

Re: Holograms for barter

To whatsupadrian,
Sorry but I can not reveal the artist's name I am working with on this project. When it is complete I can and will.

To whatsupadrian and loco,
Yes, these are full-color digital holograms produced with the technology invented by my colleagues- GEOLA. We design and produce holograms using this technology in North America. They are very impressive in large formats and can be as large as 1x1.5 meters in size.

To rhd,
Thanks for the nice compliments. I am surprised more of the laser enthusiasts on this forum are not more interested in holography.:undecided::undecided::undecided:

I am still looking for high-quality builds in 405, 532, and 635 plus anything unusual. Thanks!

Re: Holograms for barter

I dont have any laser to trade but Im interested in buying one. Send me a PM.

Re: Holograms for barter

Haven't heard from you in a few days - just in case there's an email glitch or something, I wanted to make sure you knew that I'd been emailing you back :)

(FYI for anyone else reading this post - Rob is waiting on items from me, not vice versa. I've received what he sent me - I don't know if he has received what I sent him. So this really is just a courtesy check-in to make sure he hasn't missed my emails praising the awesome holograms he sent me :))

Re: Holograms for barter

To COCONUTS,
PM sent, thanks.

To RHD,
Sorry but sometimes business pursuits take precedent. Just got my shiny new 445 today, thanks! Now if I can just add some more "famous RHD builds" to my collection.;) (Sent you an e-mail too.)
