Hey all

I'm new here been reading for weeks(we all have I'm sure) I got my first laser diode working today it's a 9mm 808nm ebay auction special I could post pics but I wouldnt want to bore you! It burns I'm Happy.

What I dont really understand is batteries and input voltages into the different drivers out there and the extra pin on some of the diodes. I have seen someone solder it to the v- pin in a vid but really dont get it... I ordered a bunch more stuff today (Yes including 3 pairs of goggles) 4 diodes 2sleds modules lenses copper mounts testload etc etc. and I sould have a hobby soon...

Does it all depend on the Host or the diode or the driver I'm conf...

MMM mmm the Smell of burnt Black plastic!

That sirius-c made my blood boil with anticipation so much! I love machining!

Anyway if anyone is willing to taunt and boo! me ---===+++ to help me out leme know I'm still learning!

I can solder! Really I can!
