Just got my HeNe a few days ago and now we have accordion storm shutters on the house I can make my room real dark in about one minute so I figured I should get a few pictures of this fine laser. ;)

Lol cool, but It seems the tube actually makes more uncollimated light than it does collimated :P Would love to see a yellow/green HeNe some day, great pics anyway, hope to see some beam shots from you soon
 
yeah they do output more light from the tube discharge than you get from the dot - but the dot is perfectly round and pretty
 
Well I actually enjoy the output of the tube itself! I want to build some kind of holder for it and make it sort of like a show piece. 8-)
 
Lol good idea, you could mount it on a wooden bottom with a metal frame and put it on a nice shelf , ready to show off at any moment, almost like your prized posesion
