Hi all,

I have the 200 mW model : RLF18130 red laser. Like an idiot I removed the lens assembly and took it apart not understanding all the parts that are in there.

Now I can't seem to get it back together in the right order.

There are the following parts.

The Housing (a threaded cylinder) which contains...

1: A glass lens which is flat on one end and convex on the other (approx 2mm thick)
2. A glass lens which is concave on one end and convex on the other (approx 1.5mm thick)
3. A small washer like metal spacer

The rest I can figure out where it goes but it's the lens config that I can't get right. It used to be very focused and have a small beam which could light matches. Now I cannot get it back to the original config. Does anyone know the order these go in ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you LarryDFW for the accurate answer,

That worked however I must have damaged or dirtied up the contents of the lens as the laser is not nearly as bright and has specs throughout.

I will be looking for a replacement can you suggest anything from this site that will enhance this pointer ?

theene;

The lens that came with your laser is a very inexpensive lens.

There are better lenses available, but they cost more.

An Aixiz glass lens is the best low-cost replacement.

For the best beam and most power,
you would need a AR coated aspheric single lens assembly at a higher cost.

The one I use is in my signature.

That's great and thank you again. I'll take a look. I'm located in Canada btw I hope you can ship north of your border ?

Theene --

The new lens assemblies like Larry mentions are AMAZING if it all fits the housing. You won't regret getting 15 to 20% more output :D
