HELP What mA to run a 16x LD at?

I bought a 16x sony diode from Stone tek and i am not sure what mA to run it at.
Also i want a good host flashlgiht but dont want o spend a lot the dorcys are nice but i dont want to order anything else of the internet for a while. And i don't have a walmart near my house any suggestions?

Go to a local Radio Shack and they have small project boxes you can use . Get a fixed Rkcstr driver at 250mA,and a Custom heat sink from jayrob to fit the small plastic project box.

on one of the review for the 16x LD on stone tech said he was running it at 400mA thats a bit much but. i was thinking about like 250-350mA

for a 16x diode i would run it at 250ma like i told wes to do on his laser,for an open can diode u can run thim at 350-400ma with no problem, for a host a mxdl light from dx is great, but if ur on a budget use a project box with some kind of heatsink hope that helps

The sweet spot is 300-350mA
