HELP ME PLZ!!!

No clue how to fix it... But I would guess that scratching the lens is not the best way to make it a good diode ;)

wait a min, nobody told me to carve out the aixiz lens, but:

there are no signs of melting...

I dont think the laser would be focused enough at that distance to burn, would it?

It still lases perfectly, dark cold night out last night, thought it was time for pics and vids!! perfect beam, lots fo fun.

I hope this gets fixed...

That plastic piece behind the lens with the little hole in it will pop out. I stick a small screwdriver in the hole and lift up on it. But don't use the edge with the threads for leverage when you pry it out.

THATS exactly what mine looks like basicly, i think its a problem with something on the diode, try turning the lens and if the spot moves then its the lens if it doesnt then its the diode,  I was trimming the hole in the aixis housing on mine and i left a tiny peice of plastic cause i used an exacto knife and it fell on the diode and melted, it basicly looks the same i tried cleaining it pretty hard with a q-tip only thing that would fit and it still wont work so i had to use my other diode and the one that is bad still wont work does anyone know how to get the spec of plastic off of it, i think i ruined a good diode with that :'(

EDIT: I think i might just use it to test out cooling methods for it and driving it with more current like trying the deadel circuit with 4ohm with not pot instead of the good one i have that is running of 4.4ohm with no pot.

can someone plz post a pic of a sen kat diode being projected at a surface (running 250mA) from 3 inches away with NO focusing lens. or anything. just in aixiz module no focusing lens. thanks

a little folowup I forgot to post

I think i might off figured this out, IF that is IF i can get the diode out of the housing without breaking it i can take a dremal and a fine saw tip on it and cut of the metel case around it and make the diode like a open can thus taking away the peice of glass on top that has the glob of plastic on it.

I think it will work :-/

NO NO NO NO NO  My good idode burned out after 4 days, i had a full dadeals circuit a huge cap and i kept it on for 1min or less at a time and i turned it on them bam from bright to dim :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( '( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hey Wooo,
Get up those tears and send them to that dried up lake in Atlanta, GA.
Your geting us all wet here! [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

Maybee your CAP was too big or you had a bad solder. Pull test all your connections, if they move or come apart, thats bad soldering. Use a small molded CAP at your regulator too. It's faster at gobbling up volt/current spikes.

Sorry

Batteries were fine and the cap shoulda worked..it was 100uf not to big and the solder was perfect nothing moved and it was all protected ahhhh then i touched it to a 9v it still didnt light up tho lol at least i have something to experiment on, IM going to try and practice cutting off the window of it with a dremel so i can fix my other one i talked about in this thread..

Ill edit my post and delete some of the :'(...

Okay back to topic(sry bout other posts , that was a good ld..) I removed the can on the one that i just fried and found out that it works good because the glass is blue and reflective that it absorbs and reflects some of the red light so removing it increases output and anything that is on it comes off i think it will fix it good,
Ill try with the good one tommorow and tell you if it works(mine does look just like yours when the dot is projected)
