Hey guys I just bought a 2w M140 diode but the cajun driver hasn't come in yet and I wanted to test it. I have a 100ma 8.2 or 8.5v output 405nm driver, could this laser be powered by it without any damage whatsoever?

Edit: Just tested it with my voltmeter and its actually 7.5v but probably still too much right?

8.2V is too much for a M140. At 1.8A they run at 4.2-4.3V.

Just be patient and wait for the driver from cajun lasers ;)

thanks thats why I asked you guys, Ive never seen a blueish laser before so I wanted to see it. Only red, green, and violet lol

Wait for the correct driver. These diodes are very very sensitive.
