Hi,

Not long ago I have purchased a new 2W 445 m140 diode from DTR, and guidesman host and BenBoost 1.256 amp driver from cajunlasers.

The problem is the driver. I have read about the voltage spikes and I don't know what to do next ? ... Use the BenBoost ? ... or Buy a new 1.5 amp microboost from DTR ? ...

I have also saw the thread about the BenBoost but I can't wait till they test it again.

Please help me to decide :)

Thanks in advance ! (: ,
Eitan.

The BenBoost "issue" has been resolved :D just stack more caps to get around 22uf capacitance or replace them with 22uf capacitors ;)

Also I doubt the spike would kill an M-140 at 1.256Amps ;) so I say your good to go on with your build enjoy

I'm not very electronical... I also have a benboost, would a 47uF electrolytic capacitor bridging the diode leads be okay?
