I guess this is the place to start...

Well hello everyone. I am always surfing this site and reading the questions and answers from people so I decided to go ahead and join. I have an Associates in Laser/Electro-Optics. I dont have any laser pointers, but I have studied and aligned and messed with a variety of lasers such as CO2s (CW and TEM), Rhodamine 6G dye lasers, Argon-Ion Lasers, ND:Yag lasers, Ruby Lasers, HeNe Lasers, Industrial Excimer Lasers (FlAr 248nm and FlKr 193nm), and Alexandrite Lasers... I THINK thats it.. there may be a few more I'm forgetting. I have also (included in my studies) taken Geometrical and Wave Optics, Fiber Optics and Vacuum Systems Technologies. I HAVE put together simple driver circuits for Blu-Ray Lasers that I've taken out of DVD players, but thats as far as I've messed with pointers. I hope I am still accepted here (lol)

Hopefully I can get some of my questions answered here and maybe be able to help out someone else.

Welcome to the forums! You don't have to be knowledgeable to be accepted here. There's a lot to learn. Most come with barely any laser knowledge at all. Be sure to read and search around to answer any questions before making a thread/PMing anyone.
