I also find it strange that someone thats suppose to be so smart can act so childish. His comments total discredit any validity to his story. Also he's this super engineer, but cant work a point and shoot camera? :thinking: It doesnt take a genius to set it on auto, and push a button. He builds and designs stuff for airports, and hospitals after all.

So, do you guys build brick walls? We recently had a brick pillar collapse over a sidewalk. They just replaced it with a steel I-beam. How hard can it be to build a brick wall?

You should find another drive, preferably a DVD burner. The higher the write speed, the more powerful the diode. CD drives = IR. DVD drives = red. DVD burners = high power red.

From there, treat it as a static-sensitive diode. The rest is a piece of cake. Engineers should have no problem figuring out how to put a round piece of metal into a round hole in a heatsink.
