And looking directly at a uv flashlight can cause eye damage?Hi, First of all you do not look directly into any type of light emissions whether if its a UV flashlight or a laser beam . Even some high power flashlights are very strong not good at all . Remember you have one set of eyes you need to protect them . Enjoy and be safe ..

From what I understand uv flashlight does not damage the retina? And so it is not dangerous? Not in the way you are likely thinking. Those UV flashlights aren't going to damage your retinas like a 405nm laser would. They exist only because they cause fluorescent materials to glow.
While not particularly dangerous at low levels. I own a AceBeam X80 and the UV light coming from it is quite strong, The instructions advise not to look directly into the emitting LED’s and I sure don’t. But if you are inclined (I can’t think of a good reason why) Like Paul says, Don’t go about looking at it for hours...And definitely not directly at the LED, not recommended
Cheers!

You have 27 posts with several good replies from members, additionally answers to all of them can be found easily on Google, defy common sense and experience, and all of them question eye safety about devices that there are millions of, in use without any negative effects or problems of any kind everywhere in the world, and used millions of times on a daily basis.
Seems that you are either Trolling the forum with idiot level questions for attention, are too lazy to search Google, or you have significant mental problems making you "obsessed" concerning your eyesight even though nothing wrong is detectable by eye MD professionals is with your eyes,, or an actual eyesight problem not diagnosed by eye specialist MDs and/or all of the above.
Suggest you see and consult both an MD Ophthalmologist and an MD Psychiatrist and sort your problems out or just keep your eyes closed at all times to be safe.
PS Is more effective than keeping your eyes closed when they are open . lol
